East Yorkshire Coast
The coastline is mostly low lying but with some chalk cliffs to the north the most notable of these is Flamborough Head which rise to around 70 metres above sea level. One of Britain's oldest lighthouses is situated on the headland and dates from 1674. The only real seaside resort in the county is Bridlington which is a traditional resort with a sandy beach, promenade and plenty of cafes and amusements.
