Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo coast guide
Newton Ferrers is a small village surrounded by woodlands on the banks of the River Yealm in south Devon. It serves as a yatch haven and is a popular place to visit in the summer months. Parking is limited and you may need to park elsewhere.
One of the main attractions of Newton Ferrers is its pub, The Dolphin which is popular all year round - booking early is recommended; there is also a post office and several shops.
Noss Mayo lies on the opposite back of the River Yealm and is connected by water taxi in the summer months. There are two well known pubs in the village, The Swan and The Ship both of which can get very busy at any time of year. Booking well in advance is recommended.
